The article presents a literature review on the peculiarities of dental procedures in patients with cardiovascular diseases. Providing dental care to patients who have undergone heart surgery is associated with certain difficulties: the use of anticoagulant drugs, antibiotic therapy, antithrombotic prophylaxis in the postoperative period. When performing dental procedures, the use of pharmacological preparations may lead to a high risk of developing adverse reactions and complications, such as bleeding, the appearance of antibiotic resistance, a decrease in general and local immunity, and an increase in the level of transient bacteraemia. The article presents the algorithm for the actions of a dentist while conducting medical dental procedures, taking into account the concomitant general somatic disease and use of medication.
