The paper presents the results of studying the dynamics of anxiety-depressive symptoms, cognitive dysfunction, and quality of life in 107 patients with coronavirus infection (COVID-19) with antidepressant therapy. The patients were divided into three groups: the 1st group (n = 38) included patients who received standardized therapy in combination with fluoxetine; the 2nd group (n = 42) involved patients who received standardized therapy in combination with sertraline; the 3rd (control, n = 27) consisted of patients who received standardized therapy without additional prescription of antidepressants. It was found that with clinically homogeneous initial data, the use of fluoxetine and sertraline in patients with COVID-19 led to positive changes in anxiety-depressive and cognitive symptoms. A decrease in the level of depressive symptoms correlated with an improvement in the quality of life of patients. Sertraline has the best clinical efficiency in the treatment of patients with an-xiety-depressive disorders associated with COVID-19, as well as good safety and tolerability in comparison with fluoxetine. Thus, sertraline can be recommended for the treatment of comorbid anxiety-depressive disorders in COVID-19.
